The Warialda Historical Society exists to promote an interest in family history, Australian historyin general and the history of Warialda and district in particular. The Society fosters a community appreciation on the value of historical records and relics. It aims to preserve and encourage the preservation of records, buildings, landmarks and artefacts that will be of interest to futute generations.

The society has recently gained funding from the Royal Australian Historical Society to produce a film about the Warialda area during World War 2. The project is due for completion in December 2010.
